Is there a particular EMOTION that’s best for your health?

It might seem obvious at first…

After all, everyone knows it feels great to be happy, and it feels bad to be sad.

But experts say there’s one “rare” emotion that can actually unlock a greater sense of wellbeing…

While helping to lower physical and mental stress… support a healthy heart… soothe digestion issues… and even boost your longevity.

It’s awe…

Now, you might be thinking: “I know when something is awesome, but how does that make me healthier?”

And I thought that, too. After all, I’ve seen awesome movies and eaten awesome food before…

But they didn’t have a lasting impact on my health.

Well, it turns out the health-supporting kind of awe comes from “heartstopping” moments, like feeling small next to a mountain…

Or feeling overwhelmed by a stranger’s kindness.

Now, I don’t know about you… but most of my days don’t contain that kind of awe.

So, I got to thinking there must be other ways to find that feeling of wonder hiding in everyday life.

And it wasn’t long before I came up with a list of tiny, common things that make anybody feel awestruck.

Which means the next time you’re feeling “short tempered,” or like your body is out of whack…

Try looking for moments of awe in these places:

⛰️ Awe in Nature 🌊

Awe in nature is actually hiding in the tiny, common things right in front of us.

You might glance up at a sunset and think, “How do all those shades of purple, orange, and red get up there?”

Or you might walk in the park, notice a bird dart past and wonder, “How can something so small move so fast?”

The point is, there are countless awe-inspiring things right in your home environment —

And taking a few moments to find them can set you up for a better, brighter day.

🤝 Awe in People 🫂

There are tons of stories about ordinary people fighting impossible situations… and finally getting the happy ending they deserve.

But I think there’s plenty more awe to be found in the ordinary people you meet every day.

Think about times a kind stranger has smiled or said Hello, held the door for you, or even helped you load something heavy into your car.

Those little moments can be enough to fill your “awe tank” for the day.

So if you’re ever blessed by the kindness of a stranger, go ahead and let that warm-fuzzy feeling fill you up!

💪 Awe in Yourself 🧘

Life is so busy these days, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly behind.

But if you take a moment to look back a few months… a year… 5 years…

You’ll be able to see how hard you’ve worked and how far you’ve come!

Even if on paper, your accomplishments might seem small to others… they’re your accomplishments, and they’re worth being proud of.

It could even be making it through tough days, (even better if you didn't strangle someone...:)

So try finding Awe and being awesome today!
